Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager/Senior Manager - Ports Design to join our team in Chennai, India. In this pivotal role, you will lead and oversee the design and development of port infrastructure projects, ensuring innovative and efficient solutions that meet international standards and client requirements.

  • Lead the design and development of port and harbor infrastructure.
  • Conduct wave transformation, tide, and current modeling to assess marine environmental impacts.
  • Optimize marine layouts for ports, harbors, and offshore structures using advanced numerical modeling tools.
  • Provide hydrodynamic design solutions for river training, drainage, and coastal protection structures.
  • Evaluate physical model studies and refine designs based on analysis results.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international regulations for port operations and marine structures.
  • Prepare feasibility studies, detailed project reports (DPRs), and tender documents for port infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, and offshore energy facilities.
  • Provide technical consultancy on sedimentation, shoreline changes, and hydrodynamic interactions for port and coastal developments.
  • Engage with clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to secure approvals and optimize project implementation strategies

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with extensive experience in port infrastructure development, coastal engineering, and marine hydrodynamics. The candidate should be able to drive high-impact projects, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with international best practices.

  • M.Tech in Offshore Structures or Coastal Engineering
  • B.Tech in Civil Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum 10–20 years of experience in port infrastructure, coastal engineering, and marine development projects.
