A primary function of this role is to use provide automation platforms and infrastructure to build communication campaigns that enable us to reach our customers. This role transforms marketing requirements into batch or event-based automations across a variety of communications channels. You will work closely with internal marketing groups and other technology teams to build processes, develop execution plans, coordinate campaigns utilizing our automation platform and databases, and optimize multi-channel plans. As a functional leader, you will also play a key role within the team to help establish, document, and evangelize standard methodologies and processes.

What you’ll get to do…

  • Work within the Digital Marketing Operations team to translate business needs into executable technical design and scalable SFMC solutions.
  • Design and develop customer segments to be applied over Email, Web, SMS, WhatsApp, and many other customer touchpoints
  • Develop and deploy omni-channel marketing campaigns across Email, Web, SMS, WhatsApp, and other customer touchpoints
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams in the creation of segmentation and personalization-based strategies
  • Ongoing analysis of marketing programs and broader business performance to surface key insights and recommendations to help inform our marketing strategy
  • Increase team and overall operations efficiency by driving process and documentation improvements
  • Ensure the accuracy of our outbound marketing campaigns by driving QA and on-going monitoring at all levels all the way up to source data
  • Drive development and enforcement of standards, tools, and methodologies within the Marketing Operations team
  • Align solutions with our technology roadmap and strategic direction of the business
  • Provide guidance to Email Marketing Managers, Product Marketing on Campaigns, ensuring appropriate acceptance criteria are defined
  • Prototype solutions to ensure business alignment with proposals
  • Provide critical production support within our campaign platforms following SLA guidelines for up-time, campaign turn-around, deliverability, and quality control. Be on-call person for driving investigations around production issues.
  • Identify areas of improvement for organizing campaigns, improving our current processes, and taking them to the next level.
  • Sign off QA to ensure campaign rollouts move seamlessly into existing marketing operations.
  • Play an active role in driving requirements for the implementation and integration of an evolving best in class marketing automation platform

Your experience should include…

  • 5+ years of experience working with an enterprise level Marketing Automation such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • 3+ years of constructing marketing campaigns, A/B split testing, and workflows using Salesforce Marketing Cloud with emphasis on Automation Studio, Advertising Studio, and Journey Builder. Other top-tier marketing automation tools (i.e.: Adobe, SAAS, Aprimo, others) a bonus.
  • 3+ years of working with complex data sets to produce customer segments for marketing campaigns with hands-on experience with SQL syntax and data platform tools
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications preferred
  • Experience in campaign marketing environment, preferably with experience across integrated customer communications (email/SMS/web).
  • Solid understanding and experience with customer data warehouses.
  • Ability to rapidly adapt to new processes, learn new systems and quickly diagnose and troubleshoot emergent issues.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented approach to work.
