Job Summary
Altice USA is seeking a Manager of Network Engineering to lead the design, deployment,
and support of Managed Wi-Fi solutions for Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs). This role ensures
reliable, high-performance connectivity for residents and property managers through
advanced Wi-Fi technologies. The Manager will oversee engineering activities related to
network architecture, implementation, and ongoing support for MDU environments,
working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver best-in-class managed
Wi-Fi services.
Responsibilities
Manage a team of network engineers responsible for designing and deploying
Managed Wi-Fi solutions for MDUs.• Oversee end-to-end implementation of MDU Wi-Fi projects, including site surveys,
RF planning, network design, hardware configuration, and installation support.• Ensure network performance, security, and reliability through proactive monitoring
and troubleshooting.• Collaborate with property owners, developers, and internal stakeholders to define
technical requirements and deliver tailored solutions.• Support integration of Wi-Fi services with Altice's core IP network and backhaul
infrastructure.• Maintain documentation for network designs, configurations, and operational
procedures.• Assist in vendor evaluations and product selection for Wi-Fi hardware and
management platforms.• Provide escalation support for complex issues and ensure timely resolution.• Work closely with key business partners responsible for installation, maintenance,
and Tier 1-3 support to ensure seamless service delivery and operational
excellence.• Drive continuous improvement in deployment processes and customer experience.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)• Deployment Timeliness: Complete MDU Wi-Fi installations within agreed project
timelines (e.g., 95% on-time delivery).• Network Uptime: Maintain service availability at or above 99.9%.• Customer Satisfaction: Achieve property manager and resident satisfaction scores
of 90% or higher.• Issue Resolution: Resolve escalated network issues within SLA (e.g., 24-48 hours).• Cost Efficiency: Deliver projects within budget while optimizing resource utilization.
Qualifications
• BS/BA degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.• 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 5 years focused on
Managed Wi-Fi deployments and support.• Experience managing or supervising technical teams.• Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi technologies (802.11 standards), access point
deployment, and wireless network design.• Experience with Open Wi-Fi frameworks and RXG (Ruckus Cloudpath or similar
gateway solutions).• Familiarity with managed Wi-Fi platforms and cloud-based network management
tools.• Understanding of IP networking fundamentals, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and routing
protocols.• Experience with Cisco or Ruckus networking equipment preferred.• Ability to interpret site plans and perform RF planning for multi-unit environments.• Excellent communication and project management skills.
Relevant Certifications• Preferred:
o CWNA (Certified Wireless Network Administrator)
o CWDP (Certified Wireless Design Professional)
o CCNA or CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional)
o CompTIA Network+
o PMP (Project Management Professional) - a plus for project oversight
o Open Wi-Fi and RXG platform experience certifications (vendor-specific)
Travel Requirements• Ability to travel up to 30-40% as needed for site surveys, deployments, and
troubleshooting across MDU properties

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $133,661.00 - $190,944.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
