We are now seeking an experienced Motion Designer to join our creative team and play a key role in building engaging and impactful visual content for our marketing channels. You will help strengthen our brand identity, fuel our growth across African markets, and bring football stories to life through dynamic and captivating design.
The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with proven experience in motion graphics for marketing and social media, who can turn ideas into bold, visually compelling campaigns that resonate with football fans. You’ll collaborate closely with our wider marketing team under the guidance of the Marketing Design Lead to ensure all creative output is both effective and aligned with our brand vision.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality motion graphics and visual content for marketing campaigns across social media, digital advertising, and brand channels.
- Collaborate with performance marketing, brand, and content teams to ensure creative assets align with strategic business and campaign goals
- Deliver projects from concept through to final execution, ensuring designs are on-brand, consistent, and optimised for performance
- Contribute to campaign ideation, bringing fresh ideas and creative energy to marketing initiatives
- Stay on top of creative trends, football culture, and emerging digital platforms to keep Football.com ahead of the curve
- Work with analytics teams to apply performance insights and optimise creative output for maximum impact
- Support recruitment and mentorship within the design function as we expand our creative team
Requirements
- Degree in Design, Motion Graphics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in a motion design/graphic design role, with a portfolio showcasing social media and marketing content
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other motion/animation tools.
- Experience creating playable ads, HTML5 animations, or interactive marketing assets (Unity, Google Web Designer, GDevelop, etc.) is highly desirable but not essential. Familiarity with Figma is a plus.
- Understanding of performance marketing creatives and how to optimise assets for engagement and conversion
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise effectively, and deliver to tight deadlines
- Passion for sport and a strong awareness of football culture.
- A proactive, curious, and self-motivated mindset, with the adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
