Job DescriptionDVT Denmark is looking for a seasoned Cloud Engineer specialized in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our strategic and growing cloud practice. This is a long-term engagement for someone passionate about cloud-native architecture, automation, and scalable platform design.
As a Senior or Principal Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust cloud infrastructure on GCP. You’ll work closely with our architecture and development teams to implement containerized solutions, infrastructure as code, GitOps workflows, and observability tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on GCP.
- Deploy and manage Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters.
- Use Terraform for infrastructure provisioning (IaC).
- Implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD.
- Manage Kubernetes applications with Helm charts.
- Configure Nginx Ingress for secure traffic routing and load balancing.
- Set up observability with tools like DataDog Agent and OpenTelemetry Collector.
- Utilize tools like Config Connector, Cert Manager, External DNS, and Crossplane for resource orchestration and connectivity.
- Integrate Snyk Monitor for security scanning and vulnerability management.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps, with a strong focus on GCP.
- Proven expertise in designing and operating Kubernetes clusters, preferably with GKE.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code practices.
- Solid understanding of GitOps concepts and experience with ArgoCD.
- Comfortable working with Helm, Nginx Ingress, and Kubernetes add-ons.
- Strong observability practices using DataDog, OpenTelemetry, or similar tools.
- Experience with cloud-native security, including tools like Snyk.
- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
Nice to Have
- GCP Professional Certification (e.g., Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with Crossplane, Config Connector, or similar tools for GCP resource abstraction.
