The Network Administrator is responsible for the daily administration of company infrastructure systems, including hardware and software. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and intrusion detection systems (IDS), ensuring stable and secure network operations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day support for network infrastructure including troubleshooting connectivity issues and resolving user-reported problems.
  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure reliable operation of LAN/WAN systems.
  • Maintain and update network documentation and diagrams.
  • Support DHCP, DNS, and IP addressing schemes (IPv4/IPv6).
  • Respond to and resolve incident tickets in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to support network-related needs and changes.
  • Perform basic firewall rule updates and assist with access control configurations.
  • Monitor and maintain network security tools such as intrusion detection systems (IDS).
  • Assist with network equipment upgrades and refresh planning.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with Cisco networking equipment (basic configuration of switches, VLANs, trunking, NAT, and wireless access points).
  • Familiarity with common networking protocols (HTTP/S, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, NTP).
  • Basic understanding of network security principles and tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS).
  • Exposure to Checkpoint firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, and Zscaler cloud security solutions.
  • Ability to work with terminal emulation software (e.g., PuTTY, SecureCRT).
  • Understanding of the OSI model and basic network architecture concepts.
  • Experience with cable patching and testing (Cat5/6, fiber).
  • Exposure to Unix/Linux command line is a plus.
  • Knowledge of configuration and lifecycle management practices.
Education & Experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in network administration or support.
  • Familiarity with Cisco IOS and basic troubleshooting methodologies.
