Network Design Engineer
We are seeking an innovative and experienced Network Design Engineer to join our global infrastructure team. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming business requirements into highly resilient, efficient, and scalable network architectures. Your mission will be to design and implement cutting-edge network solutions with a strong emphasis on automation, standardization, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert global network infrastructure services across data centres, exchange colocations, branch offices, and cloud environments. Ensure high availability, stability and reliability of network services.
• Translate complex business requirements and regulatory stipulations into technical network solutions that align with global network standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues, internal stakeholders, network equipment vendors, telecom providers, and other technology partners to evaluate and implement optimal solutions that meet our business needs.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting services, diagnose and resolve escalated network outages and complex technical issues, and participate in on-call rotations for tier-two network support.
• Develop and/or execute implementation scripts and advanced automation tools to streamline configuration tasks, as well as enhance operational reliability and efficiency.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in network engineering with demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise-grade networks.
• Extensive hands-on experience with network routers, switches, load balancers, wireless network infrastructure, DNS/DDI and next generation firewalls.
• Experience with cloud technologies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
• Strong technical knowledge of network protocols (e.g. STP, IGMP, PIM, BGP, VxLAN, EVPN)
• Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient knowledge in scripting languages (Python, Ansible) for network provisioning, validation, and orchestration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Excellent knowledge of network hardware.
• Team-oriented professional with a collaborative mindset and proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Financial industry experience preferred.
