The Order to Cash (OTC) process at Yahoo is very critical considering the importance of managing working capital and complex regulations across the globe along with maintaining healthy customer relationships. We partner with a variety of teams such as Sales, Sales Operations, Legal, Tax, Accounting, Audit, Treasury and Corporate Applications teams to make sure the Order to Cash operations are running efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of Yahoo. Customer interactions and relationships play a key role in achieving the objectives of this function, as well as adherence to internal controls, processes and policies, and adherence to applicable regulatory compliance.
The Order Quality Analyst is part of the OTC team, which is responsible for all the activities related to delivering services to, and collecting payment from, our customers. Five primary teams make up the OTC department - Credit Assessment, Order Quality, Billing, Collections and Cash Application. The faster and more efficient our ordering process is, the happier and more loyal our customers will be to Yahoo and the company’s future revenue growth. This role has a direct impact on revenue, client relationships and the perception clients have of Yahoo.

We are looking for someone who is detail oriented and has an analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude. He/she must be able to work independently and also collaborate with others through strong communication and interpersonal skills. He/she has an understanding of basic accounting principles, systems and processes, which is critical for day-to-day activities and the integrity of our financial data. The ability to prioritize work, juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines are some of the qualities we are looking for in a potential Yahoo.
Yahoo is a large company with complex challenges and lots of opportunities, and we are looking for someone who gets excited about new projects and can use their experience to establish new processes, incorporate new products into existing workflows, identify solutions, etc.
This role requires working various shifts (early morning, late evening, night shifts) as we are part of a global shared services team and support all regions.
Your Day
Build strong relationships with partnering teams to achieve overall Order to Cash process efficiency
Read and understand contracts to ensure legal language complies with all internal rules and regulations
Collaborate with the Legal, Revenue Accounting and Revenue Controllership teams to ensure full understanding and implementation of revenue recognition and revenue assurance principles
Review new sales orders and revisions to ensure data integrity and adherence to Yahoo’s quality and compliance standards
Train Sales and Account Management personnel on quality standards, approved legal language and process workflow considerations, which may result in client-facing interactions
Interpret and implement new quality assurance processes and standards as new products are onboarded, which can often require partnering with OMS Administrators and/or Corporate Applications
Support the adoption of new company initiatives by participating in user acceptance testing for updated systems, processes, and products
Perform internal and SOX compliance testing, including population reporting, sample support pulls and walkthroughs of audit documentation with internal and external auditors
Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions, as needed
Relentless Process Improvement Focus - must have proven experience improving processes resulting in time/cost savings, system/process efficiency or identification of reporting gaps that limit the effectiveness of current quality control measures
Create/update process documentation as Yahoo processes and products evolve

You Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
3 - 5 years experience in Order to Cash
Experience reviewing/interpreting legal contracts, including financial details and terms & conditions
Proven experience working with key controls, internal/external auditors, populations, support and SOX testing
Must have a clear understanding of the order committal process, including revenue recognition related issues
Previous relevant experience with full ownership of end to end processes required
Proven experience in managing heavy workloads, complex functions and a changing environment
Meticulous attention to detail
Proficient with Google Suite products
Knowledge of large order and invoicing systems (Oracle, Salesforce, etc.) preferred
Previous experience with online advertising preferred
