The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Payroll Services Operational Excellence Analyst to join our HR Operations Excellence team. This role is key in driving operational excellence through end-to-end monitoring and improvement of payroll services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs), managing service level agreements (SLAs), documenting core processes, handling incident management, and producing insightful reports to support continuous transformation and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Metrics, KPIs & SLA Management

  • Monitor and report on Payroll KPIs and SLAs across countries.

  • Partner with Country Payroll Leads to identify trends, variances, and root causes impacting performance metrics.

Transformation & Continuous Improvement

  • Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, automation, and validation monitoring.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement transformation projects.

  • Process Automation: Supporting initiatives like RPA and Workday report usage to reduce manual effort

  • Global Alignment: Driving consistent global ways of working and aligning with transformation roadmaps

  • AI & Analytics: Leveraging AI tools for process efficiency and decision-making 

Reporting & Insights

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and regular reporting for stakeholders.

  • Create executive summaries and updates

  • Provide analytical insights and actionable recommendations to leadership.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain up-to-date standard operating procedures and desktop procedures and process maps.

  • Leverage My Kyndryl and promote documentation and collaboration across HR Ops and Payroll teams.

Incident Management

  • Track incidents reported, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.

  • Coordinate with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.

Who You Are

You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important – you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. Required Skills and Experience

  • B.Tech, BCA, master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in HR Operations, Payroll, or Shared Services

  • Proven experience with KPI/SLA tracking, process documentation, and reporting.

  • Strong analytical skills; proficient in Excel, Power BI, SQL, VBA, Macros, and creating executive summaries and presentations.

  • Familiarity with HRIS, Payroll systems, and ticketing/incident management platforms (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow,).

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement certification is a plus.
