You’ll be joining a people-focused company, and as a Payroll Operations Specialist, you will oversee multi-country payroll operations. This role will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for India, UK, and Germany ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in India payroll regulations, strong expertise in UK and Germany payroll, and the ability to contribute to process improvements while maintaining high standards of payroll accuracy.
You must be accessible during U.S. business hours, particularly overlapping with Central Time (ET) from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST, to ensure effective collaboration with U.S.-based teams
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Payroll Processing & Compliance:
- Process payroll for India, UK, and Germany, ensuring compliance with country-specific payroll regulations.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Indian payroll, ensuring compliance with TDS, EPF, ESI, PT, Gratuity, Bonus Act, and other statutory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to UK payroll regulations (PAYE, NI, pensions) and Germany payroll laws.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments in payroll processing.
- Conduct payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance reporting to maintain payroll accuracy.
- Payroll Systems & Process Optimization
- Work with payroll systems, integrations, and automation tools to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to improve payroll processes and resolve discrepancies.
- Identify and implement best practices to ensure payroll accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with third-party payroll providers to ensure compliance with service agreements.
- Handle both strategic (process improvements) and transactional (payroll execution) tasks
- Other duties as assigned.
THE SKILL SET
- Preferred a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years of payroll experience, with a strong focus on India payroll processing
- Experience processing payroll in the UK and Germany
- Prior experience managing multi-country payroll operations is preferred
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing payroll teams
- Expertise in payroll software. Experience with ADP solutions is a plus
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, taxation, and statutory regulations
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work in both hands-on (micro) and strategic (macro) capacities
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
