We’re looking for a Payroll & Operations Specialist to take full ownership of India payroll operations and assist with US and Canada payroll support. This is a high-impact role for someone with a sharp eye for accuracy, deep compliance know-how, and vendor management experience.
What You’ll Do
- End-to-End Payroll Orchestration: Master the complete payroll lifecycle including salaries, performance bonuses, expense reimbursements, tax documentation, full & final settlements, and Form 16 generation while transforming payroll into a strategic advantage through automation and process excellence
- Compliance Guardian: Navigate the complex landscape of PF, ESI, TDS, and PT regulations with expertise, ensure flawless statutory filings, maintain zero-penalty compliance record, and proactively adapt to regulatory changes
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with Finance, HR, Legal teams, and external payroll vendors to build streamlined workflows while leading monthly payroll reviews and quarterly compliance audits
- Data Excellence & Reconciliation: Maintain audit-ready records with forensic-level accuracy, implement robust reconciliation processes that eliminate discrepancies, and create comprehensive payroll dashboards and reporting systems
- Strategic Process Innovation: Design scalable payroll workflows, automate repetitive tasks through smart integrations, and conduct regular efficiency assessments to optimize operations as the organization grows
- Process Optimization & Automation: Design and implement scalable payroll workflows that grow with the organization, automate repetitive tasks through smart tool integration, conduct regular process audits and efficiency assessments to drive continuous improvement across all payroll operations
- Advanced Analytics & Business Intelligence: Create meaningful payroll analytics that drive strategic business insights, generate executive-level reports on costs and trends, build comprehensive KPI dashboards for payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance metrics
What You Bring
- 3 – 5 years of India payroll experience (computation + compliance), good to have US/Canada payroll experience
- Hands-on with tools like GreytHR, Zoho, ADP, Gusto
- Strong grasp of Indian labour laws and vendor coordination
- Detail-oriented, data-confident, and discrete with sensitive information
- Eagerness to learn global payroll systems
