- Collaborate with the engineering team to understand design requirements and specifications.
- Design, develop, and implement complex printed circuit board layouts using Cadence Allegro and OrCAD Capture, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Perform schematic reviews to identify design issues and suggest improvements.
- Provide technical support to cross-functional teams throughout the PCB design process.
- Conduct design verification and validation tests for functional and electrical integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any layout-related issues during the development and manufacturing stages.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in PCB layout design tools and techniques.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry guidelines.
- Experience of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of PCB fabrication processes, materials, and assembly techniques.
- Basic understanding of electronic components and their functionality.
- Knowledge of PCB tools like Altium, Mentor Xpedition preferred.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- 6-15 years of professional experience in PCB layout engineering, with Strong knowledge of designing and implementing multi-layer printed circuit board layouts.
- Strong Knowledge in ATE boards like V93K, Ultraflex, Ultraflex Plus testers experience preferred.
- Proficiency in utilizing Cadence Allegro tools, including PCB Editor and Constraint Manager is must.
- Experience in Library creation as per IPC standards.
- Familiarity with high-speed design principles, impedance matching, and signal integrity concepts.
- Ability to do QA checks during final design release.
- Solid understanding of PCB manufacturing processes, design for manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA) and design for testability (DFT).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
