The primary responsibility for the successful candidate will be providing day to day support for the PeopleSoft systems. The successful candidate will have administrative responsibilities for a complex multi-server environment. They will be responsible for starting, stopping and general satisfactory performance of the systems. They will be responsible for handling the security settings of the systems so that the users are able to access what they need and not access what they don’t need in the systems. Maintaining a current level of application and security patching is a primary responsibility that is non-stop. They will work closely with application developers in migrating codes changes through the various stages of testing and once approved, into production. This candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively with teams and effectively interact with Project Manager, Lead Technical Analysts, Technical developers, and Business team.
The challenge:
- Applying patches to the systems as they are released.
- Assisting with the testing and implementation of a PUM upgrade on an annual basis.
- Implementing codes changes through the test environments to the production environment following strict procedures to avoid any negative impact to the production environments.
- Troubleshoots operational and systems issues ranging from difficult to highly complex, including problems with multiple solutions and potential significant consequences.
- Works in coordination and collaboration with other information technology (IT) staff to develop and implement or recommend the implementation of appropriate solutions to complex problems.
- Ensures performance optimization.
- Writes technical specifications, configures, customizes, builds, and tests configurations and customizations.
- Experience with setting up and supporting security in the systems.
- Experience with both Linux and Windows platforms.
- Integrates PeopleSoft application software over data management systems and supporting components and services.
- On call rotation responsibilities.
- Occasional weekend work.
What Sets You Apart: (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or related) with four plus (4+) years of administration experience with PeopleSoft technologies. May consider more years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Experience with PeopleSoft Human Capital Management and Financial Management Systems v 9.2
- Oracle SQL Developer
- WebLogic
- Configuring integration broker
- Excellent communication skills for customer interaction
- Working knowledge of agile and waterfall development methodologies
- Strong ability to set and meet functional team deadlines while maintaining an even disposition under pressure
You Might also have:
- Public sector Experience with a Utility or Energy Based company
- Strong knowledge of systems development and project management methodologies/processes
- Integrating with Peoplesoft Financial and HCM systems
- Experience with Service Now case management software
- Experience with supporting large applications and interacting with end business users.
- Experience supporting Oracle Hyperion systems
