About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Performance QA Engineer to join our team and ensure our applications deliver optimal performance, scalability, and reliability under various load conditions. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests to identify bottlenecks and drive performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests for web applications, APIs, and microservices
- Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools like JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, or K6
- Analyze system performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with development teams to establish performance benchmarks and SLAs
- Monitor application performance in production and conduct root cause analysis for performance issues
- Create and maintain performance test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration
- Generate detailed performance test reports with insights and recommendations
- Conduct capacity planning and provide scalability assessments
- Work with DevOps teams to optimize infrastructure and resource utilization
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging performance testing tools
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5 years of experience in performance testing and engineering
- Strong proficiency with performance testing tools (JMeter)
- Experience with monitoring tools (AppDynamics,Grafana, prometheus or similar)
- Solid understanding of performance testing methodologies and best practices
- Knowledge of web technologies, APIs, microservices architecture, and databases
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Groovy, or similar)
- Understanding of system architecture, networking, and infrastructure concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
