The Performance Test Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing performance test plans, identifying bottlenecks, executing load and scalability tests, and analyzing results. They will collaborate with teams, promote best practices, and maintain metrics for performance testing progress.
As a Performance Test Engineer you will be working on:
- Designing and implementing performance test plans and testing activities.
- Identifying performance bottlenecks and issues.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address performance issues.
- Executing load, stress, and scalability tests.
- Analysing test results and providing actionable recommendations.
- Staying updated on industry trends and emerging tools in performance testing.
- Promote performance standards and best practices and provide guidance to other software engineers.
- Write scripts / tools as per the requirement.
- Updates progress of testing and submits metrics to test lead.
Requirements and Skills
Must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- An overall 4 to 6 years of experience in Software testing.
- 2+ yrs of proven experience in performance testing and tuning.
- Proficiency in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Systems knowledge to a desired level.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Should be good with scripting, debugging and problem solving.
- Flexible to work with USA time zone.
- Good in SQL queries writing and DB concepts.
- Extensive experience with Testing, expertise in SDLC and STLC Processes.
- Experience in creating test plan , test cases, defect reporting, documentation, reporting etc.
Optional (Good to have):
- Exposure and knowledge of any of the Cloud platforms (Preferably Azure).
- Either of Java or Python would be added advantage.
- Additional scripting languages.
