Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented WordPress & PHP Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in WordPress development along with mandatory knowledge of Core PHP. This role involves developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites, themes, and plugins while ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
The candidate should be capable of handling backend development independently and writing clean, efficient, and secure PHP code.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented PHP code (Core PHP mandatory)
- Customize WordPress functionalities based on business requirements
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services
- Optimize website performance and ensure responsiveness across devices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues
- Manage MySQL databases and ensure data integrity
- Implement website security best practices
- Collaborate with designers and other developers to deliver quality solutions
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 1–4 years of experience in WordPress development
- Strong knowledge of Core PHP (mandatory)
- Experience in custom theme and plugin development
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL
- Understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git (preferred)
- Knowledge of WooCommerce customization (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
