The Power BI Engineer will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and SSRS reports, ensuring data accuracy while collaborating with stakeholders to meet business needs.
We are looking for a skilled Power BI Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, transforming data into meaningful insights, and delivering high-quality Power BI dashboards and SSRS reports that support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting requirements
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
- Build and manage SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) reports
- Translate business needs into data models and visualization solutions
- Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Work closely with data engineering teams for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
- Implement best practices for Power BI development and governance
- Manage Power BI service (workspace, datasets, dataflows, security)
- Ensure proper documentation of reports, dashboards, and processes
- Strong experience in Power BI Development (DAX, Power Query, data modeling)
- Hands-on experience with Power BI Platform Engineering (deployment, governance, security)
- Proficiency in SSRS reporting
- Strong SQL skills for data querying and transformation
- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
- Experience working in Data Engineering / Data & Analytics environments
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in banking or financial services domain (preferred)
- Familiarity with Azure Data Services (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse is a plus)
- Knowledge of data governance and reporting standards
