Clario is accelerating its cloud‑native analytics transformation, and this role sits at the center of that mission. As a Principal Analytics Engineer (Power BI), you will design and deliver enterprise‑grade analytics that power clinical trial execution, product intelligence, and operational decision‑making across the organization. You will build integrated visualizations and governed semantic models on Snowflake and complementary cloud platforms—turning complex, disparate data into actionable insights that teams rely on every day. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic problem‑solving: you will serve as a hands‑on architect, developer, and advisor to business and technology stakeholders, shaping how Clario uses data to improve efficiency, accelerate evidence generation, and enhance product and service outcomes. Your work will directly contribute to faster, more accurate decisions that impact patients, customers, and internal teams worldwide.
What We Offer
Competitive pay and incentives
Provident fund and medical insurance
Engaging employee programs and local events
Modern office spaces and remote work flexibility
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop and prototype cloud‑native analytics solutions using Power BI (Desktop, Service), DAX, Power Query (M), dataflows, deployment pipelines, and Snowflake components including schemas, virtual warehouses, roles, tasks/streams, and performance services.
Lead full‑cycle development (SDLC + agile) of secure, scalable, and cost‑efficient analytics, including design, build, test, documentation, and support.
Implement governance controls including row‑level and object‑level security, data endorsements, versioning, and reliable refresh pipelines.
Perform source‑to‑target mapping and design star/snowflake models optimized for analytics and semantic modeling.
Build semantic layers and governed calculation frameworks (DAX measures, calculation groups).
Optimize model and query performance using aggregations, incremental refresh, model size tuning, and Snowflake performance strategies (clustering, caching).
Operationalize production pipelines, schedules, workflows, alerting/monitoring, and SLAs.
Provide Level 3 support (ServiceNow), including triage, root‑cause analysis, and stable release management.
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements, lead design workshops, and produce actionable prototypes and wireframes.
Design high‑value dashboards, reports, and analytics that provide product insights and operational decision support.
Champion quality, standards, and continuous improvement through architecture/code reviews, operational documentation, and usage/cost awareness across workloads.
Research emerging cloud analytics capabilities and ensure compliance with required training and SOPs (e.g., GCP, 21 CFR Part 11, CAPA).
What We Look For
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years delivering data warehousing/analytics solutions, including 3+ years with Power BI and Snowflake in production.
Proven success designing enterprise dashboards and user‑centric analytic solutions.
Expertise in Power BI development (DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling, dataflows, RLS/OLS, incremental refresh, deployment pipelines).
Strong Snowflake capabilities (database/warehouse design, RBAC, warehouse optimization, tasks/streams, resource monitors, cost management).
Strong SQL and relational modeling skills (Snowflake, Oracle; MS SQL Server a plus).
Experience operationalizing cloud BI (scheduling, orchestration, monitoring, alerts, SLA management).
Exposure to Data Governance, Stewardship, and MDM concepts; Reltio experience is a plus.
Understanding of security, data architecture, analytics engineering, and structured SDLC practices.
Experience in healthcare/life sciences data is preferred.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and modern lake/lakehouse architectures is a plus.
Excellent analytical, communication, documentation, and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively; adaptable, detail‑oriented, and committed to high‑quality outcomes.
Based in India and able to work remotely.
