We're seeking a Principal Designer to join our brand creative team. You will be accountable for the quality and execution of major product areas and complex design initiatives. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional leadership to shape brand creative vision while actively elevating the skills of design team members around you. This role requires someone who can drive excellence in design execution while contributing to broader strategic initiatives and mentoring others.
You Will
- Create engaging, polished design directions that are strategically aligned with business objectives across multiple channels (brand design across integrated campaigns, design systems, social, experiential, web, email, video, packaging, digital ads and more)
- Own and drive complex design initiatives for brand creative with minimal guidance, from strategy to execution
- Establish consistency across multiple touchpoints by contributing to and defining design systems, driving deeper connection between brand and product
- Guide projects forward proactively and with autonomy, even in the face of ambiguity or shifting priorities. Maintain confidence and clarity in fast-paced environments with frequent strategic pivots to deliver impactful results
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to support and align product creative needs with broader brand and business goals, fostering deeper harmony and connection between brand and product.
- Mentor and elevate the skills of other design team members
- Seek opportunities to improve and extend the brands wherever possible
- Foster trust with cross-functional leaders by offering actionable feedback and promoting customer-centric solutions
You Have
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience in brand and interactive design, preferably in a brand focused creative agency or in-house brand team
- A portfolio showcasing work you were directly responsible for creating, demonstrating strategic thinking and impeccable design craft
- Experience as a primary contributor to multiple high-impact projects, bringing comfort in art direction, setting aesthetic tone for campaigns, and creating visually compelling, cohesive work that resonates with brand identity and elevates creative standards
- In-depth knowledge of design tools including Figma (components, variables), Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator
- Proven track record of creating world-class brand experiences
- Experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional leadership
- Demonstrated ability to push projects forward in spite of ambiguity
- Strong understanding of design principles, trends, and best practices
- A proactive mindset and willingness to work in the open
- Supplemental skills such as motion design/animation, 3D, photography, copywriting, or illustration are a plus
