Summary Section
As part of the electrical engineering team you will be involved in the design of electrical systems for the oil and gas and/or power including renewable energies industries. This may be a conceptual study or front-end engineering design (FEED) or a design execution involving, the procurement of all equipment and detailed drawings for the construction and commissioning of an entire facility.
Responsibilities:
- Expertise in drafting/design activities using AutoCAD/Microstation
- Drafting SLDs and schematics with support of engineers
- Prepare electrical layouts independently taking care of inter discipline interfaces
- Prepare design/construction standards with minimum support
- Modeling of cable trays, light fixtures and other electrical items in E3D/S3D environment
- Prepare material quantities for electrical bulks independently
- Use of review tools like NavisWorks/Smartplant Review
- Understanding and implementing client requirements / local / international codes and standards relevant to electrical design
- Understand and implement quality system requirements
Qualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications specifically: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word
- Diploma (Full Time) /Degree (Part Time) in Electrical Engineering
- Good understanding of Electrical concepts and 3 phase power calculations
- Good written and oral communication skills
- 14 - 16 years of experience in Oil & Gas / industrial projects
Preferred Qualifications Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Experience in managing a small team of designers
- Experience in working in multi-cultural environment
- Provide effective training to young designers in 2D/3D Tools
