You will work as Firmware architect of Industrial sensing products to carry out different embedded software activities that are included in the lifecycle of a product.
Specifically, this role will be responsible for the architecture and development of our next generation embedded software for industrial products.
The Principal Firmware Engineer works as part of a solutions development team practicing New Product development and mature Agile-Scrum processes.
General Responsibilities:
Architect and develop an embedded platform for our next generation products.
Act as technical lead on firmware design to drive best practices within inter-disciplinary teams to address complex product design and manufacturing challenges.
Drive continuous improvement in software development, CI/CD, and release velocity. Identify metrics to use for team KPI goals.
Lead feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
Advise on Agile driven testing and qualification testing leading to successful on-time production launch.
Support customer Proof-of-Concept and other technical discussions as Subject Matter Expert
Interact with team to translate customer application and system requirements into functional software design requirements and solve challenging problems through software development.
Analyses the existing software and improving the processes.
Taking part in software debugging and code validation/verification. Conducts code reviews with peers.
Handles software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers in the software development process.
Education and Experience:
A university degree with min 12 years of relevant work experience as below-
Understanding of bare metal start-up of microcontroller.
Knowledge of low-level hardware drivers of microcontroller.
Experience with GitHub and Continuous Integration
Experience of windows-based build environments
Analytical and effective problem-solving skills
Expert knowledge of Agile-Scrum methods, deep experience with Atlassian tools.
Min 3-4 years of Experience leading software development teams
Desirable Skills:
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
