What You’ll Do
Architecture & Infrastructure
- Design and implement robust AWS infrastructure with a focus on high availability, reliability, security, and scalability.
- Continuously evolve existing infrastructure to improve operational efficiency and optimize cost.
- Partner with application development teams to select the right cloud components for business‑critical services.
- Architect secure networks and infrastructure aligned with healthcare regulations.
- Investigate root causes of systemic outages, identify improvements, and implement solutions across the organization.
- Ensure solutions align with overall business architecture and long‑term strategy.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide thoughtful technical leadership and help teams adopt modern architectural patterns.
- Lead architecture reviews and collaborative technical discussions.
- Recommend appropriate AWS services and industry best practices.
- Mentor team members and support their ongoing learning and development.
- Contribute to a strong, inclusive engineering culture that values open communication and shared problem‑solving.
- Continuously enhance the DevSecOps environment to support developer productivity.
Customer & Stakeholder Partnership
- Translate business needs into scalable, secure cloud architectures.
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with AWS teams, internal stakeholders, and customer groups.
- Deliver solution‑focused training sessions to support shared understanding.
Security, Compliance & Innovation
- Apply AWS security best practices and ensure compliant infrastructure design.
- Guide decisions related to identity, access, monitoring, and governance.
- Implement cost‑efficient solutions and analyze cloud spending.
- Identify innovative approaches that support performance, scalability, and long‑term reliability.

This role will need to work out of the central time zone.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a STEM field and approximately 10 years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Proven experience in:
- Designing scalable, secure, cost‑effective AWS solutions
- Applying AWS Well‑Architected Framework principles
- Creating technical documentation and architecture diagrams
- Designing high‑availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Leading technical discussions and reviews
- Recommending AWS services and conducting Well‑Architected Reviews
- Translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Implementing AWS security best practices
- Designing compliant infrastructures and providing security guidance
- Identifying performance, cost, and operational improvements
Preferred Qualifications

- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and related technologies (e.g., routing, firewalls, load balancing, proxies).
- Experience with infrastructure automation.
- Experience using automated configuration management tools (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, etc.).
- Experience deploying and managing infrastructure in AWS or Azure.
- AWS Solution Architecture certifications.

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
