Process and Quality Analyst

• protocols.io is the #1 platform for designing and publishing research methods, enabling academic and industry researchers to record and share detailed up-to-date protocols. Our mission is to accelerate research by improving reproducibility and making it easier for researchers to discover and share method details.

Technical Competencies:

• Sound knowledge of Scientific Research Methods and the Research Process
• Hands on experience with protocols.io
• Literature reviewing and evaluation capabilities
• Excellent Command of verbal and written communication skills
• Planning & Prioritizing, Detail focused
• Good interpretation and analytical skills
• Curational editing experience would be a plus, but not a must have
• Experience of Publishing from an author perspective would be a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and assist with the import and creation of protocols onto protocols.io via the we-enter-protocols editorial service
• Perform quality checks of imported protocols processed from various sources and provide timely feedback to the respective team member(s) and protocol authors                                                                                     
• Schedule weekly discussions with team members to address quality issues and new updates related to process
• Ensure that process related queries are addressed effectively
• Participate in the quality related discussion with relevant stakeholders on a regular basis
• Ensure periodic review and update of documentation related to quality and training based on customer feedback and product updates                                                                                   
• Suggest process improvements to enhance quality of work
• Bring author feedback to the team for platform enhancements
• Assist in moderating content submissions and newly created accounts on the platform

Day at Work

• A current ongoing project involves importing already published protocols and protocols that are about to be published from Springer Nature publications (journals and books)—initially Springer Protocols—onto protocols.io.
• protocols.io has an entry service to import protocols for customers via a submission system, this requires oversight, interaction with the authors to address any revisions requested and transferring protocol ownership.
• Engage in developing a successful pipeline to post and format protocols on protocols.io, oversee QA including engaging with the protocol authors. The process is part automated but will require a careful QA for all protocols.
• Assess newly submitted protocols, accounts, and workspaces and moderate them
• To provide process related updates to team and create and maintain reference documents.

Qualifications & Key Skills:

• B. Pharm, M. Pharm, B. Tech/ M. Tech.(Lifesciences), M.Sc./B.Sc. (Life science), BDS, BHMS, BAMS, Ph.D. (Pharma/ Life science)

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:

• To ensure quality of deliverables by applying technical knowledge, internal guidance/SOPs and customer requirements.
• Handle internal and customer related queries.
• To provide process related updates to team and update the reference documents (SOPs/user aid).
• To work towards improving and maintaining quality standards of the protocols

Eligibility: At least 24 months of experience in the current (Scientific and Medical Writing) role

Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in Scientific and Medical Writing
