Procurement Contract Specialist
Onit – Pune, Maharashtra, India – Full time
We are seeking an accomplished Procurement Contract Specialist proficient in negotiating and
overseeing contracts related to internal purchases made by the Company. The ideal candidate will
possess a deep understanding of procurement strategies, supplier management, and efficient purchasing
practices to effectively meet the organization's operational requirements.
Role and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to grasp their needs and provide procurement assistance, including assistance with sourcing, vendor contract negotiations and vendor onboarding.
- Maintain meticulous records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier/vendor details, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best value for the company.
- Liaise with the legal team to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with legal standards throughout the procurement cycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and innovations in procurement to enhance the organization's procurement capabilities.
- Lead search for procurement automation tool and serve as project manager for implementation of selected tool.
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, tools, and technologies.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to procurement activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in law or a related field.
