Position Summary

Defines and executes product compliance strategies, policies and processes to ensure that the company’s products meet regulatory standards and compliance certifications are obtained and maintained (e.g., ISO, FCC, UL, IEEE). Works closely with regulatory agencies and is the technical subject matter expert for regulatory compliance. Participates in product design reviews, identifies and interprets applicable regulatory standards and requirements; provides guidance and training to prevent compliance issues from the initial product design throughout production and delivery of the final product. May assist in the development of testing tools and product test plans to ensure effective compliance testing. Coordinates both internal testing and testing at outside labs, certification labs and maintains all documentation. Ensures suppliers comply with domestic and international requirements.

Job Summary:

Summary: The Compliance Support Officer is responsible for coordinating the packaging and submission of products—primarily Electronic Gaming Machines—to independent testing laboratories. This role includes tracking the progress and status of submissions, managing monthly invoice reviews and preparations, and ensuring approved product versions are ready for deployment as per regulatory documentation. Serving as a key local liaison, the officer represents Product Compliance by facilitating effective communication between internal Software Quality Assurance teams and external testing laboratories.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review and submit product packages to independent testing laboratories.
  • Track and maintain the status of product submissions and recommendations in the company database, ensuring information is current and accessible to intended audiences.
  • Monitor and prepare periodic status reports on product submissions and recommendations.
  • Collaborate effectively with multifunctional teams, including Software Quality Assurance, Project Management, Engineering, and Development.
  • Identify and report product compliance risks to management as needed.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships and communication channels with designated testing agencies, particularly relating to issue management.
  • Actively participate in the preparation of product submissions to testing laboratories.
  • Assist in resolving issues or discrepancies raised by testing agencies during the submission and testing process.
  • Interpret technical standards, regulations, and legislation to support decision-making and address potential concerns before product submission.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of rules, regulations, and legislative requirements related to company products.
  • Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and collaborate with others to implement improvements

Qualifications:

Education / Experience:

  • Minimum one year’s experience working in administration
  • Experience completing forms, correspondence, filing, and general office procedures

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with an ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to analyze jurisdictional gaming regulations
  • Well-developed customer service skills
  • Highly desirable – Gaming machine software and hardware knowledge
