As a Product Lead, manage and coach Product Managers while owning a product area. Focus on execution quality, collaboration with teams, and fostering independent decision-making.
Who we are:
Field Nation brings companies and service professionals together through an integrated, easy-to-use platform. We support businesses looking to grow their service offerings while also empowering technicians to leverage their skills on their own terms. Our mission is to help the service delivery industry do great work, and we live that mission by doing great work for the companies and service professionals who depend on us.
Why is this role important to Field Nation?
As a Product Lead, you’ll serve as a player / coach within our Bangladesh product organization. You’ll own a meaningful product area as a hands-on individual contributor while also acting as the local people manager and coach for a small group of Product Managers. Your focus will be on raising the bar for product judgment, problem framing, and execution quality—both through your own work and through developing others.
This role works in close partnership with Engineering, Design, and US-based Product Leadership and is ideal for a seasoned PM who enjoys both doing the work and helping others get better at it.
What you’ll do:
- Own a product area as a hands-on individual contributor, taking ambiguous problems from discovery and framing through delivery, launch, and iteration.
- Manage and coach up to two Product Managers, serving as their local people manager and helping them strengthen problem framing, decision-making, execution, and communication.
- Set and reinforce a high bar for product thinking and quality, modeling best practices through your own IC work and coaching others through real examples.
- Help PMs move beyond stakeholder-driven execution, coaching them to form independent points of view grounded in user needs, data, and business impact.
- Support PMs working across different product areas, providing guidance and perspective without acting as an approval or decision bottleneck.
- Partner closely with Product Designers and Engineering Leads, ensuring strong collaboration, clear priorities, and effective delivery.
- Align with US-based Product and Design Leadership, contributing local context, surfacing risks and tradeoffs, and supporting shared ownership models.
- Establish strong local operating norms, including clear decision-making, documentation, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
- This is intentionally a player / coach role:
- You will remain a strong individual contributor in one product area.
- You will coach and manage a small number of PMs who may work on other feature areas
- Your role is to elevate judgment and outcomes—not to approve every decision or act as a proxy owner for others’ work.
- Over time, the balance between IC work and coaching may evolve as the team matures.
You might be a good fit if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with a strong track record shipping user-facing features (B2B SaaS and/or marketplace experience preferred).
- Proven strength as an IC Product Manager, able to independently frame problems, make tradeoffs, and deliver outcomes.
- Previous people management or mentorship experience, with a genuine interest in coaching and developing PMs.
- Strong product judgment and independent point of view, comfortable making and explaining decisions under ambiguity.
- Excellent problem framing skills, able to translate vague inputs into clear problems, solution directions, and success metrics.
- Clear, concise communicator, with fluent spoken and written English and comfort working with US-based teams.
- Dependable and outcome-oriented, able to drive progress through ambiguity, tight timelines, and competing priorities.
- Experience working on distributed or global teams is a strong plus.

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene
To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
