ROLE OVERVIEW

We're hiring a Product Manager to be the person who makes sure one to two of our SaaS solutions actually ship — on time, to spec, and repeatably — as we turn on new clients.

These solutions already exist as working MVPs. The big product-market-fit thinking has largely been done. What we need now is someone who can take a solution and run it, hands-on: gluing together Data Science, Engineering, and Front-end/Design into a single working team for that product, driving a real operating rhythm, and owning the outcome when a client is scoped, onboarded, and live.

This is not a big-vision, "what should we build" product role. It's a get-shit-done role. You live in the space between "we have a working prototype" and "this is running reliably for client #14," and you make that gap disappear, over and over, without every deployment becoming a bespoke fire drill.

You'll report to the Director of Product Delivery, who oversees the full solution portfolio. Your job is to go deep on your product(s), not wide across all of them.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Cross-functional orchestration. For your solution(s), you'll be the single point of accountability pulling Data Science, Engineering, and Front-end/Design into one coordinated workflow per client. When those functions aren't talking to each other, that's your problem to fix.

Delivery rhythm and project management. You'll run the cadence — sprint planning, standups, planned-vs-delivered tracking, milestone and go-live dates — for your product, for every client coming online on it. You know at all times what's on track, what's at risk, and what needs escalation.

Day-to-day direction of the pod. You'll direct the daily work of the engineers, data engineers, and designers assigned to your solution: what they're working on, in what order, and what's blocking them. You're not writing their code, but you're the one making sure they're pointed at the right work and have what they need to finish it.

Client onboarding and delivery execution. As new clients are scoped and turned on for your solution, you own the operational path from "contract signed" to "solution live and working in their environment" — configuration, setup, integration sequencing, and handoff to ongoing support.

Prioritization within an existing roadmap. You're not setting product strategy, but you are constantly triaging: which client's integration blocks are urgent, which bug fixes take priority over which new feature requests, and how the pod's finite capacity gets allocated across concurrent client engagements on your product.

Repeatable process. Every client shouldn't feel like a bespoke project. You'll build and refine the playbooks, intake templates, and delivery checklists for your solution that make onboarding client #10 meaningfully faster and less risky than client #1.

Risk and quality ownership. These solutions run on real client data and inform real decisions. You're the one who catches slipping timelines, data quality issues, or integration risk before they become a client-facing problem — and you escalate early rather than after the fact.

Reporting and visibility. You'll give the Director and leadership a clear, honest picture of delivery status for your product — what shipped, what's late, what's blocked, and why — on a regular, predictable cadence.

THE TEAM YOU WILL MANAGE

You'll work day-to-day with a cross-functional pod dedicated to your solution(s), structured roughly as:

  • Engineering — full-stack developers building and maintaining the solution, comfortable with AI-assisted development.
  • Data — data engineer(s) handling integrations, pipelines, and schema/data quality across client environments.
  • Design/Front-end — the person or people responsible for the day-to-day UX/UI of the solution.

The pod largely exists — you won't be building it from zero — but you'll be responsible for how it operates day-to-day on your product: workload, priorities, and holding people accountable to delivery dates.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Proven delivery/project management experience, in a product or software context. You've driven cross-functional teams (eng, data, design) toward shipped outcomes before, ideally inside a services or agency environment where "productized but still client-specific" is a familiar tension.

Strong operational rhythm instincts. You default to visible tracking — sprints, planned-vs-delivered, clear ownership — and you're uncomfortable when a project's status is a guess rather than a known fact.

Comfort directing technical ICs without being the most technical person in the room. You don't need to write the code or design the data model, but you need to understand enough to ask sharp questions, spot when something's off-track, and hold engineering and data teammates to a standard.

Hands-on by default. You're close to the work — in the tickets, in the client setup, in the integration details — not one level removed from it. You'd rather know exactly why a deployment slipped than get a summary.

Client-facing competence. You can sit in a scoping or onboarding call, translate what a client needs into a concrete delivery plan, and manage their expectations on timeline and scope.

Bias to execution over strategy. You're energized by taking a defined solution and a real deadline and making it happen — not by debating what the product should be. If you're itching to redesign the roadmap, this isn't the role.

Adtech/martech familiarity is a plus, not a requirement. Some fluency with the ecosystem (CRMs, ad platforms, analytics tools, donor management systems) helps you understand what your pod is integrating with, but you're not expected to be a subject-matter expert.

AI-fluent working style. Our engineering and data teams build with AI coding tools as a default. You don't need to code yourself, but you should be comfortable with how AI-assisted development changes timelines, and able to sanity-check estimates and scope with that in mind.

Hands-on by default. You're close to the work — in the tickets, in the client setup, in the integration details — not one level removed from it. You'd rather know exactly why a deployment slipped than get a summary.

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene

To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
