What We'll Bring:

We are seeking a Product Owner to join TransUnion’s Global Fraud Solutions team and play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality, customer-focused capabilities across our Core Fraud Solutions.
As a Product Owner, your primary focus will be translating product and business needs into well-defined user stories, supporting development teams through execution, and ensuring delivered functionality meets business expectations. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, QA, and business stakeholders, owning day-to-day backlog execution and UAT readiness rather than high-level feature or epic ownership.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working close to delivery, thrives in Agile environments, and takes pride in the quality and completeness of what gets released.
This position is based in India, with limited travel.

What You'll Bring:

What You’ll Do
  • Work closely with Product Managers to understand product vision and roadmap, and translate them into clear, actionable user stories for development teams.
  • Own the day-to-day product backlog execution, including writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, refining requirements, and supporting backlog grooming sessions.
  • Break down requirements into executable stories that can be delivered within a sprint, ensuring clarity for engineering and QA teams.
  • Create lightweight wireframes, user flows, or mockups to clearly communicate user experience and functional expectations.
  • Actively support Agile scrum teams by answering questions, clarifying requirements, and making quick trade-off decisions during development.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining test scenarios, validating solutions, and ensuring readiness for release.
  • Partner with QA, Engineering, and stakeholders to ensure defects, enhancements, and refinements are properly understood and prioritized.
  • Work effectively in a matrixed, global environment with multiple development teams and stakeholders.
  • Use modern tools, including AI-enabled tools, to improve productivity in story writing, analysis, documentation, testing support, and overall delivery efficiency.

Impact You'll Make:

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar delivery-focused product role within B2B software or services.
  • Strong hands-on experience writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and supporting sprint execution.
  • Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and supporting multiple sprint teams simultaneously.
  • Solid experience with UAT execution, including test planning, validation, and stakeholder sign-off.
  • Ability to create wireframes, mockups, or user flows to support requirement clarity and user experience discussions.
  • Familiarity with identity fraud, risk management, authentication, or financial services platforms is highly desirable.
  • Good understanding of application architecture, APIs, databases, and system integrations, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Comfort using AI-powered tools to enhance analysis, documentation, testing workflows, or delivery outcomes (hands-on experience is a plus; curiosity and openness are essential).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene

To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
