The team you'll be part of

You will be part of CNCS R&D team in the Product & Engineering, IP Telephony (IPT) organization. The Cloud Native Communication Suite (CNCS) is the newest product in Nokia’s Core Networks portfolio. It provides a simplified IMS solution by consolidating multiple core network functions viz SBC, TAS, CSCF, MRF within a single CNF. This provides multiple optimizations over existing IMS core solutions.

 

Responsibilities
  • Defining and communicating the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to all stakeholders.
  • Creating, maintaining, and prioritizing the Product Backlog, ensuring items are clearly expressed, ordered, and understood by the Development Team.
  • Engaging with customers, sales, marketing, and development teams to gather requirements, define features, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Detailing product features and user stories, often with acceptance criteria, to guide development.
  • Participating in release planning and ensuring the product delivers value incrementally.
  • Continuously analyzing market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform product decisions.
  • Actively participating in Scrum events such as sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Tracking product performance, gathering user feedback, and iterating on the product based on data and insights.
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of exp in R&D on Telco-grade products.
  • Ability to define and articulate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives and market needs.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, from ideation and requirements gathering to launch and post-launch analysis.
  • Proficient knowledge and practical experience with Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum, including backlog management, sprint planning, and release management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders (customers, engineering, sales, marketing, leadership) and manage expectations.
  • Capability to analyze market trends, customer feedback, and data to identify opportunities, define features, and make informed product decisions.
  • Sufficient understanding of the underlying technology and architecture relevant to Nokia CNS products to effectively communicate with development teams and make sound technical trade-off decisions.
  • Skill in prioritizing product backlog items based on business value, technical feasibility, and strategic importance, and making decisive choices under uncertainty.
  • A deep understanding of customer needs and pain points, with the ability to translate these into actionable product requirements.
  • Ability to lead without direct authority, influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders towards a common product goal.
