Our design award-winning team is strong and mighty, with about 55 amazing individuals from all walks of the industry and life located worldwide, with a team of over 20 people in our BLR design center of excellence! As our company and our products grow rapidly, it is crucial to scale the user experience of our product and our design and tech writing team in the right way and with the right people.

We are seeking a core hire - our first Technical Program Manager in Rubrik’s growing Bangalore office. This function will help us scale and make our award-winning team more efficient and help drive our next phase of growth to success by partnering closely with all the key functions: Design, Technical Writing, Engineering, and Product Management, working hand in hand with the design leadership team.


What you'll do:

  • Adept at quickly acquiring necessary domain knowledge, including technical architecture, infrastructure, and system details. Maintains sufficient knowledge to be an active participant in dialog and decision-making with engineers, engineering leaders, PM, and design.
  • Leverage your technical expertise in areas such as coding, architecture, and infrastructure to identify and bridge gaps to ensure effective and efficient program outcomes.
  • Partner closely with our Tech Documentation, Design, PM, and Engineering and leadership to ensure work and goals are executed within given timelines.
  • Coordinate complex feature releases and cross-functional initiatives – Act as a bridge between the Product Design and Engineering and Product Management teams on key initiatives, including technical scoping, defining technical requirements, and technical execution across the development lifecycle.
  • Help translate the leadership strategy into actual outcomes.
  • Collaborate with all the design and help documentation team members.
  • Proactively identify team needs with regards to process improvements, tool optimization, documentation standards, and asset management.
  • Balance multiple inputs of priorities and needs, making sure inter-dependencies are understood and planned for effectively.
  • Capture help document requirements and project goals, including technical specifications.
  • Craft and manage the team JIRA board. Identify opportunities to automate JIRA ticket creation.
  • Communicate technical project and program status effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Help track tasks internal to the Help Documentation team.
  • Help coordinate and set up cross-Product Design team initiatives and activities.
  • Serve as connective tissue across teams to translate deep technical challenges into structured, actionable programs.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • 4-8 years of relevant experience in Technical Program/Project management, specifically in an engineering space.
  • Strong technical knowledge, including foundational understanding of coding, architecture, infrastructure, and systems, to help bridge any gaps to ensure an effective and efficient outcome.
  • Demonstrated experience owning and leading multiple initiatives at the same time, with a focus on technical projects.
  • Possess foundational technical knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Passion for getting things done, especially in complex technical environments.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; you enjoy figuring out what needs to be done—and then doing it, even in highly technical contexts.
  • Approach problems with curiosity, and excitement to learn and grow your skills in technical areas.
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills, especially in conveying technical information.
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills, particularly in cross-functional technical environments.
  • Ability to manage in an environment of ambiguity with diverse partners, including engineers and technical leaders.
  • Ability to work across multiple complex programs with significant technical depth.
  • Proficient knowledge of JIRA and other project management tools – is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience working extensively with development or product management teams; working with a design or documentation team is a plus.
