The Project Analyst supports finance transformation initiatives, oversees project execution, manages financial data, and ensures compliance with governance standards while coordinating with various stakeholders.
The Project Analyst will support end-to-end delivery of Finance transformation initiatives across the bank. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Technology, and Governance—tracking execution, controlling numbers, and ensuring projects don’t drift or burn money quietly.
If someone can’t handle ambiguity, data, and senior stakeholders at the same time, they’ll fail here.
Key Responsibilities- Support Finance-led projects including Regulatory Reporting, IFRS, Budgeting, Forecasting, GL, Cost Allocation, and Financial Controls
- Track project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues across multiple finance initiatives
- Own financial tracking: budgets, actuals, forecasts, cost leakage, and variance analysis
- Prepare SteerCo decks, dashboards, and executive reports for Finance leadership
- Coordinate with Finance SMEs, IT teams, vendors, and PMs to ensure delivery stays on scope and timeline
- Support business case preparation, funding requests, and post-implementation benefit tracking
- Ensure compliance with bank governance, audit, and regulatory standards
- Maintain RAID logs, action trackers, and documentation—no loose ends
- 4–7 years of experience as Project Analyst / PMO / Finance Analyst in Banking or Financial Services
- Strong understanding of Finance domains:
- Financial Reporting
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Cost & Revenue Analysis
- Regulatory / Audit exposure
- Proven experience in project tracking and governance for enterprise initiatives
- Advanced Excel skills (financial models, variance analysis, trackers)
- Strong PowerPoint skills—clear, executive-ready storytelling
- Experience working with senior Finance stakeholders (CFO org exposure is a big plus)
- Exposure to Finance Transformation / ERP / Finance Automation projects
- Experience with Agile / Waterfall / Hybrid delivery models
- Knowledge of tools like Clarity PPM, JIRA, Confluence, Power BI
- Understanding of UAE banking regulatory environment
- Detail-obsessed. Missed numbers are unacceptable.
- Comfortable pushing back on Finance and IT when things don’t add up
- Structured thinker—can break chaos into clear actions
- Calm under pressure; deadlines here don’t move
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certification is a plus, not a substitute for real experience
