The opportunity
Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products is implementing Digital solutions to improve efficiency and quality. Data Engineer will support the Digital Quality teams of the global High Voltage BU by utilizing advanced data analytics, processes, and tools to improve efficiency and digitization.
How you’ll make an impact
Supporting Digital Quality team by developing data analytics models and tools to analyze Quality, Inspection data and develop multiple digital projects.
This involves understanding Manufacturing setup, Quality process, Quality data, building data ecosystem know-how.
Responsible for developing and updating models using Python, training users, improving process performance and data quality, and documenting guidelines.
Assessing data sources, analyzing Quality requirements / reports trends, developing models, and translating business requirements into analytical solutions.
Tasks include data cleansing, preprocessing, validation, and utilizing machine learning techniques to build and monitor robust models.
Staying up to date with industry trends is essential.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
Bachelor's or master’s in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Must have 5+ years of experience.
Proven skills in data analysis, modeling, and Machine learning and proficient in Python, R, and SQL.
Strong communication skills for conveying complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
Strong grasp of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in teams.
