Maintains project information systems by archiving, indexing, distributing, and retaining project documents. Implements project-specific procedures, prepares reports, supports documentation audits, identifies process improvements, and coordinates handover, turnover, and MOPEX office activities. Requires document control experience, knowledge of document management policies, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Oil and gas experience is preferred.
Job Overview
The Project Info Mgmt Tech provides solutions to problems in the Project Info Management discipline without supervisory approval and will evaluate and select solutions from established operating procedures and scientific procedures.
ResponsibilitiesKey Tasks and Responsibilities
- Archive project records
- Index and distribute project documents in an accurate and timely manner
- Become familiar with pertinent aspects of the Contract and Project Information Management Requirements
- Implement Project Document Retention Requirements
- Issue defined project reports as required
- Participate in Project Documentation Audits
- Provide input in preparing Information Management Project Status Reports
- Read and implement Project-Specific Information Management Procedures and Work Instructions
- Identify Information Management issues or areas of improvement
- Understand requirements for handover and turnover in accordance with project contractual requirements
- Coordinate MOPEX office activities as required
Essential Qualifications and Education
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3 to 5 years of Document Control Experience
- Oil & Gas experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of document control policies and processes
- Exceptional communication skills
- Must be proficient in MS Office Applications
