Provider Relations Analyst:  ProQuest Books

As a Provider Relations Analyst focused on broading the quantity and quality of Clarivate content, through relevant industry relationships, and knowledge of industry general metadata standards, you will be part of the Books group of ProQuest – a part of Clarivate,  team of metadata professions that  completes data ingestion, quality assurance and customer support tasks related to curating our global Books content management system. 

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 2 years of experience in books/publishing
• MS Office suite, JIRA, and Salesforce experience

• Familiarity with bibliographic (biblio) content and metadata standards

• Experience in handling exceptions in bibliographic information to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Working knowledge of XML, schemas, and related technologies for content structuring
• Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement in content operations

It would be great if you also have

• Knowledge of or experience with librarian concepts, such as cataloging and subject classifications
• Understanding of books metadata standards and their application in content workflows

What will you be doing in this role? 

• Communicate with key content providers to identify cause of issues, engage internal stakeholders and external providers in solutions as necessary and in a timely manner. 
• Regularly monitor provider submissions to ensure accuracy, correct issues, and identify gaps. 
• Analyze system data to identify areas where providers can improve data quality and format. 
• Compare data between internal systems to provide instructions on how to resolve issues. 
• Identify outreach projects needed based on analysis. 
• Research and identify contacts as publishing houses and log email details within our database
• Send bulk emails and individual emails to publishers with specific requests for missing data
• Educate publishers on our data submission process and assist them with answering questions on FTP use and our products
• Track outreach and responses and follow up on non-responses

As a member of the Provider Relations team, you will work collaboratively with the Books Content Operations group that curates our comprehensive Books metadata repository, helping libraries, booksellers, publishers and other information professionals discover titles in the vast Books marketplace.  The role will be based in Noida, Chennai or Hyderabad location, India.

Hours of Work  

• 9 hours including 1 hour break
• Work from office (Hybrid model)
• This is Full time Employment (FTE)
