Supports procurement of nutraceutical and cosmetic raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. Responsibilities include supplier sourcing and evaluation, quotation comparison, price and term negotiation, purchase order preparation, vendor documentation, inventory monitoring, and coordination with production, R&D, quality, stores, and finance. Ensures purchased materials meet quality, safety, brand, and regulatory requirements while maintaining uninterrupted production flow.
Assist the Purchase Department in sourcing, evaluating, and procuring nutraceutical and cosmetic products while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Support vendor coordination, documentation, and inventory planning.
Key Responsibilities- Purchase raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods required for production.
- Ensure timely availability of ingredients, bottles, labels, cartons, and other materials.
- Identify and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Compare quotations and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs).
- Coordinate with Production, R&D, Quality, Stores, and Finance departments.
- Maintain proper purchase records, invoices, and supplier documents.
- Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
- Ensure all purchased materials meet quality and safety standards.
- Purchase nutraceutical ingredients like vitamins, herbal extracts, amino acids, proteins, and excipients as per specifications.
- Purchase cosmetic raw materials such as oils, fragrances, colours, preservatives, and active ingredients.
- Ensure packaging materials comply with brand and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain smooth material flow to avoid production interruption.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharm D or B.Pharm
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience in procurement or purchase department preferred
