QA Automation Lead – Emerging Technologies, Blockchain, IoT, AI & SDLC Expert
Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead to drive the development and implementation of projects leveraging emerging technologies such as blockchain, IoT, and AI. This role leads a team of technical experts, ensuring successful project delivery aligned with organizational strategy. The QA Automation Lead will foster innovation by evaluating new technology solutions and mentoring team members, contributing directly to Synechron’s business objectives and technology advancement.
Software Requirements
Required:
Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks relevant to emerging technologies
Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) tools and practices
Familiarity with blockchain platforms, IoT ecosystems, or AI toolkits
Preferred:
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Exposure to containerization and CI/CD toolchains
Overall Responsibilities
Lead and manage the development and delivery of automation projects utilizing emerging technologies
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level team members
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals with the organization's strategy
Research and evaluate new technology solutions to improve quality assurance processes and business workflows
Stay current with technological advancements and industry trends to incorporate best practices
Drive continuous improvement in QA automation practices and team capabilities
Technical Skills (By Category)
Programming Languages:
Essential: Languages relevant to automation and emerging tech such as Python, Java, JavaScript
Databases/Data Management:
Preferred: SQL and NoSQL databases relevant to application under test
Cloud Technologies:
Preferred: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms for test environments
Frameworks and Libraries:
Essential: Automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress); familiarity with blockchain/IoT/AI frameworks as applicable
Development Tools and Methodologies:
Essential: Agile methodologies, version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines
Security Protocols:
Awareness of secure coding and testing practices preferred
Experience Requirements
Typically 5+ years of experience in software development and QA automation
Proven success delivering projects that incorporate emerging technologies
Experience mentoring and managing technical teams
Demonstrated collaboration in cross-functional teams within fast-paced environments
Alternative experience pathways include strong technical leadership in automation with emerging technologies
Day-to-Day Activities
Overseeing project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
Mentoring team members through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical coaching
Collaborating with product, development, and operations teams on requirement analysis and solution delivery
Researching new tools and frameworks to enhance test automation capabilities
Reporting progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
Relevant certifications in automation, emerging technologies, or project management are a plus
