About Juniper Square

Our mission is to unlock the full potential of private markets. Privately owned assets like commercial real estate, private equity, and venture capital make up half of our financial ecosystem yet remain inaccessible to most people. We are digitizing these markets, and as a result, bringing efficiency, transparency, and access to one of the most productive corners of our financial ecosystem. If you care about making the world a better place by making markets work better through technology – all while contributing as a member of a values-driven organization – we want to hear from you.

Juniper Square offers employees a variety of ways to work, ranging from a fully remote experience to working full-time in one of our physical offices. We invest heavily in digital-first operations, allowing our teams to collaborate effectively across 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian Provinces, India, Luxembourg, and England. We also have physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai and Bangalore for employees who prefer to work in an office some or all of the time.

About your role

As a QA Engineer at Juniper Square, you will collaborate with the product and engineering teams to help define and drive our manual and automation testing efforts. You must be detail oriented, passionate about product quality, and a strong advocate for the end user experience.

What you’ll do
  • Review functional specifications, technical design documents, and provide meaningful feedback

  • Work closely with the development(s) team to identify test cases that can be automated for new feature releases.

  • Design, develop, and execute test cases against product features and backend systems.

  • Maintain automation framework (Playwright/Locust) to ensure our infrastructure is reliable, resilient and extensible

  • Contribute to your development team on best practices, processes and problem-solving

  • Develop automated test result reports and highlight any potential quality risks

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and track bugs to resolution

  • Be an advocate for automation: contribute to manual efforts and partner with engineering team leads to provide recommendations on how to decrease efforts in manual testing.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Experience: 2-3.5 years in Software Quality Assurance, with strong focus on testing web applications.

  • Test Automation: Proven experience in building and maintaining automated tests for web applications and/or APIs. For Web automation, preferably using Playwright/Selenium.

  • API Testing: Hands-on experience in at least manual testing of REST and/or GraphQL APIs using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Locust.

  • Programming Skills: Good with at least one programming language, such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.

  • CI/CD and SDLC: Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software development lifecycle concepts, including code review practices, code coverage analysis, continuous testing, and delivery.

  • Tools and Systems: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), test management tools (e.g., TestRail), and issue-tracking platforms (e.g., Jira).

  • Databases: Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL is a plus.

  • Cloud and Deployment: Knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., AWS) and experience with application deployments, is a plus.

  • Test Process: Experience in creating comprehensive test plans, authoring test cases, executing tests, and adhering to QA best practices.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within Agile development teams.

What you need to know about the Chennai Tech Scene

To locals, it's no secret that South India is leading the charge in big data infrastructure. While the environmental impact of data centers has long been a concern, emerging hubs like Chennai are favored by companies seeking ready access to renewable energy resources, which provide more sustainable and cost-effective solutions. As a result, Chennai, along with neighboring Bengaluru and Hyderabad, is poised for significant growth, with a projected 65 percent increase in data center capacity over the next decade.
