Roles & Responsibilities
As an Automation Test Engineer, you will build test plans, test scenarios and test data to support development projects and project requirements and design documents an ambitious, self-directed individual, who can work proactively to march towards agreed targets and goals, ability to handle challenges and uncertainties.
- Develops, maintains, and upgrades manual or automated test scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools required to execute test plans.
- Performs usability testing for total system performance, reliability, scalability and security.
- Effectively communicates testing activities and findings in oral and written forms.
- Controls and manages own daily test activities.
- Provides internal quality assurance.
- Supports test lead to identify risks and develops mitigation strategies.
- Organizes and maintains the test script library.
Key Skills
- Hands on experience with Selenium and Ruby
- 5+ years of experience with UI automation
- Experience in testing RESTful APIs and Web Services
- Experience in BDD using Cucumber and implementation experience of page objects
- Strong understanding of Postgres / SQL and Database knowledge
- Experience with Postman and/or curl
- Knowledge of Jira and Confluence
- Experience with Amazon AWS services (S3, Lambda, CloudWatch)
- Creative methods to identify complex issues
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Clear attention to detail and organization
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Skill in data collection and analysis
- A desire to improve on existing processes
