Job Summary
Responsible for validating product quality by analyzing and testing the quality of the code base. Focuses on writing code that will be executed in an automated and repeatable fashion which will reduce manual testing efforts and increase code quality and consistency. Develops and maintains code that validates front-end, middleware and database systems, using the latest tools and programming languages. Partners with software engineers to write efficient automation code using coding standards and best practices. Works with engineering team to deliver automated tests that satisfy product automation requirements. Executes automated code and creates written summary test reports for team. Repair intermediate complexity broken automation scripts. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.
Job Description
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Functional and Automation Testing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in functional, and automation testing and have a good understanding of performance testing. Knowledge of the cable domain is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute functional and automation test plans and test cases.
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues through to resolution.
- Collaborate with development and performance teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of products.
- Use and maintain test automation frameworks and tools.
- Perform regression testing and ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
- Generate comprehensive test reports and provide actionable insights.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in testing.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in functional and automation testing.
- Proficiency with testing tools such as Selenium-Java/Python, Rest Assured, Postman, JIRA etc.
- Good to have experience in LoadRunner / Jmeter and CI/CD Tools such as Jenkins/Bamboo.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the cable domain is a plus.
