Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results
People:
- Create a positive team member experience.
- Provides feedback to Business Analysts to ensure that requirements are clear and specific enough to convey the needs of the business.
Client:
- Responds to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
Value:
- Develops, executes and maintains test plans
- Reads and translates requirements into meaningful manual and automated test cases
- Able to write test scripts using Automation tool (Katalon)
- Executes test plans and provides meaningful feedback on results
- Works with Application developers to resolve issues and document bugs
- Use DevOps to document issues and enhancements in the appropriate manner
- Maintains a schedule of testing across multiple software applications to ensure prompt feedback to developers
- Develops and maintains documentation for all testing activities
- Assumes responsibility for the quality and compliance with standards and requirements for all Ryan applications
- Alerts the Product team to potential issues in a constant feedback loop
- Performs other duties as needed and assigned
- Regression testing of the applications during the application release.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems is preferred or equivalent work experience. Two to three years of hands-on administration experience with Software Quality Assurance and issue documentation.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong analytical skills; strong oral and written communication skills; and excellent customer service skills and attitude. Experience with SQL is a plus.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver's license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
- Standard indoor working environment
- Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer
- Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm and interface with external vendors as necessary
- Independent travel requirement: less than 10%
