Essential duties/responsibilities:
Work with more experienced QA team members to review the specific test cases that are to be automated, and which ones will need to be manually tested.
Execute all manual and automation testing for your own feature area and carefully document
defects to prevent churn with development.
Work with more experienced QA team members to author automated test cases within the
proper test frameworks.
Work with more experienced QA members to provide support for testing when critical incident reports are handed down by our Support Escalations team
Required Job Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of multiple testing techniques and methodologies at an advanced level of
competency and a keen sense of when to apply different techniques and methodologies and in which types of scenarios.
Must have strong collaboration skills with cross-functional peers and fellow QA team members.
Ability to comprehend and explain semi-complex systems and ability to understand how
changes in one area can affect other parts of the system.
- Strong knowledge of Functional, Integration, Regression testing.
- Knowledge of exploratory testing and risk-based testing.
- Strong experience in testing distributed microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of API testing (REST, gRPC) and contract testing.
- Familiarity with service-to-service authentication (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with UI testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright or any javascript based framework).
- Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser testing.
- Proficiency in at least one automation framework (Python, Pytest or Playwright).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
- Expertise in testing asynchronous flows (Kafka or similar).
- Familiarity with message brokers and event-driven architecture.
- Ability to analyze logs, trace issues across services, and use tools like Postman, Kafdrop, or Logstash.
- Basic understanding of ML concepts (training vs inference, accuracy metrics).
- Familiarity with testing fairness, bias, and explainability in AI models.
- Exposure to testing AI/ML-based applications (model validation, inference testing).
- Ability to validate data pipelines and model integration in production.
- Experience with tools like JMeter or Locust.
- Exposure to AWS services.
- Knowledge of Docker for environment setup.
- Familiarity with tools like Splunk, Datadog for monitoring applications.
- Awareness of common vulnerabilities (like XSS etc) and API security best practices.
- Ability to write scripts for data validation and test data generation.

Required Education and Experience: Combination of education and industry experience amounting to 3+ years of experience software testing.
