Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to ensure the quality and accuracy of data migration from Informatica to Databricks pipelines and Synapse to Databricks for storage for our banking client. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in data migration projects, strong knowledge of ETL processes, and proficiency in Databricks.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for data migration projects.
- Validate data integrity and accuracy post-migration from Informatica to Databricks pipelines and Synapse to Databricks.
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues related to data migration.
- Collaborate with the data migration team to resolve any data quality issues.
- Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionalities are not affected by the migration.
- Provide detailed reports on testing outcomes and data quality.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in QA roles, specifically in data migration projects.
- Strong knowledge of data testing and validation techniques.
- Proficiency in Databricks, SQL, and data analysis tools.
- Experience with ETL tools, particularly Informatica and databricks.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with data governance and security standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Python or Scala for data processing and SQL
- Certification in QA or related fields.
