The Opportunity at Komodo Health
The Quality Assurance Team is a core part of the Business Analysis & Quality Team at Komodo Health. This team plays a vital role in maintaining the quality, reliability, and functionality of the custom software solutions we implement for our customers. Through rigorous testing, this team ensures we deliver highly functional, user-friendly software that minimizes post-release issues and provides a seamless customer experience.
Quality Assurance Specialists are essential for implementing high-quality, reliable software systems for our customers. They are responsible for validating functionality and executing testing efficiently and repeatably. This role is fundamental to standardizing and automating testing processes and delivering systems that meet customer expectations.
Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have…
- Designing and executing comprehensive test scripts that align with business and functional requirements.
- Becoming proficient with the tools, systems, and workflows used in testing and quality assurance.
- Continuously improving testing coverage and efficiency by suggesting new techniques/tools and helping incorporate them into the overall QA strategy.
- Applying critical thinking skills to assess test acceptance criteria.
- Effectively collaborating with core project team members to understand system features and business requirements.
- Gaining a deep understanding of core product functionality.
You will accomplish these outcomes through the following responsibilities…
- Accurately executing manual test cases independently.
- Writing clear, concise, and effective test scripts for manual and automated testing that cover a wide range of functional, integration, and system testing scenarios.
- Clearly documenting and communicating test results and defects accurately.
- Maintaining and updating existing test scripts to reflect system changes.
- Creating test data to support test script execution and ensure accurate test results.
- Conducting regression testing to ensure defects are not introduced with new features and/or product updates.
What you bring to Komodo Health:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience writing and executing test scripts for cloud-based software applications (manual and/or automated).
- Experience with testing management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Quality Center).
- Refined problem-solving and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong English verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in fast-paced, ambiguous work environments.
- Goal-oriented and self-motivated.
Additional skills and experience we’d prioritize (nice to have)…
- Salesforce QA experience.
- Lifesciences, pharmaceutical, and/or healthcare industry experience.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, TestComplete).
- ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification or equivalent

Komodo Health has a hybrid work model; we recognize the power of choice and importance of flexibility for the well-being of both our company and our individual Dragons. Roles may be completely remote based anywhere in the country listed, remote but based in a specific region, or local (commuting distance) to one of our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, or Chicago with remote work options.
