Through our "Discovery, Drug Development, Integrated Evidence and Value, Medical Affairs" services, we deliver impact where it matters, from early drug development to commercialization. The Role: R&D Excellence client leader will have the responsibility of driving the development and growth of the R&D book of business working with the Practice Principal.
What You'll Do:
- Be responsible to build and refine long term strategy for the account(s) and our business.
- Help create and execute annual growth plans.
- Lead business development for the R&D book of business and help run the P&L
- Identify talent needs and build the team via external and internal hiring and training.
- Provide thought leadership and lead industry outreach as a market leader
- Identify industry gaps and create consulting and technology solutions.
- Be a trusted advisor to clients. Establish and maintain executive level relationships with R&D client leadership, decision makers and technology leadership
- Drive, hands-on, consulting, analytics and technology programs, prepare and present client presentations
- Coach, mentor and evaluate and train new/existing ZS team members
- Work cross functionally across ZS teams to partner for overall client delivery
What You'll Bring:
- MBA with bachelor's degrees with a strong academic record in business, medical or life sciences, engineering, applied math, statistics or related fields. Alternately, candidates may possess a Masters (preferably PhD or MD) in pharmaceutical sciences, decision sciences or related field with a business application.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or equivalent with MD, PhD, PharmD or MPH
- 10+ years of experience, with at least a minimum of 5 years of global experience,in the life science industry leading and working with clients, strategy and operations. Additional 5+ years of consulting experience preferred
- Experience in variety of therapeutic areas, and key areas like Resource Management, Document Management systems, pre-Clinical to Phase 3
- Experience involving strategic interactions with regulatory agencies (FDA, EMA, and PMDA) and participation on industry consortium like (e.g. TransCelerate, PhRMA)
- Experience working with technology solutions
- Experience with real world data and other big data sources (EHR, social media, observational databases) and usage of new technologies like AI/ML
- Strategic thinker with a comprehensive knowledge of the latest industry trend and the ability to bring innovative solutions and analytics to solve challenges
- Executive level presence and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience with driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects at the senior level.
- Has published thought leadership pieces
- Willingness to travel to other global offices as needed to work with client or other internal project teams.
