Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the Asia-Pacific Head of Marketing (based in Singapore), the Regional Marketing Manager- Asia-Pacific is key to helping the multiple practices in the region grow their business with the help effective marketing planning strategy. It’s an exciting and rewarding role with the opportunity to grow and develop your skillset and business acumen while being able to see your contribution take effect.  Milliman is a B2B company in a very niche area of financial services and the role will lead to a specialization in marketing to a very targeted segment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Understand the company, its various teams/Practices, service offering and customer segments.
  • Understand the brand, its essence and guidelines and ensure consistency and adherence across the region.
  • Support with development, implementation and tracking of the marketing plan for the region and for specific practices and geographies including, but not limited to, the following activities:
    • Events
    • Sponsorships
    • Email campaigns
    • Social media
    • Production of collateral
    • Coordinating with publications
    • Proofreading
    • Marketing-related research
  • Work across markets and time zones and with various stakeholders including the practices, marcomms/creative, legal, office administrators, finance, agencies and external vendors to deliver marketing activities.
  • Write briefs for collateral, events, sponsorships and campaigns.
  • Ensure that Milliman and Asia-Pacific marketing/PR approval processes are followed and never compromised before any external production/release/publication.
  • Utilise both online and offline channels to promote thought leadership and events, including social media, email marketing, content marketing, partnerships, and traditional media.
  • Maintain multiple marketing budget spreadsheets and regularly track and report progress of marketing activity against budgets.
  • Work across markets to ensure integrity of client and contact databases and ensure they are up-to-date and consistent with Milliman’s policies and local regulations.
  • Facilitate the day-to-day marketing operations, project updates and various reports.
  • Negotiate with event organisers, vendors, suppliers and publications to help maximise ROI on marketing spends.

Mandatory Skills, Attributes and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • At least 8-10 years' work experience of which at least five in a similar/relevant role.
  • Proven experience to working with tight timelines.
  • Detail-oriented, ability to pinpoint errors and propose solutions.
  • Calm, organised and structured in approach to work and in dealing with others.
  • Self-driven. Able to work independently while still working within a broader team and framework.
  • Excellent MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to work from scratch or with templates.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree (either Bachelor’s or Master’s) in a business discipline.
  • Experience of working in a recognised events, advertising or PR agency.
  • Working for or managing an account any established firm/recognised brand in the financial services industry.
