The Regional Sales Head will be accountable for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, strengthening the dealer-distributor network, managing key business relationships, and ensuring profitability across the assigned territories of West Bengal, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. The position involves providing strategic direction and leadership for the sales and business development of Submersible Pumps & Motors, Mini Pumps, Domestic Pumps, and Monoblock Pumps within the region.
The role holder will lead and mentor regional sales teams, build strong channel partnerships, increase market penetration, and deliver business targets in line with the company's growth objectives. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for enhancing customer satisfaction, improving collection performance, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies. Success in this role requires strong capabilities in channel management, distributor and dealer development, market expansion, team leadership, and a deep understanding of the pumps and motors industry.

Key Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
1. Sales & Revenue Management
  •  Achieve regional sales volume, revenue, and profitability targets. 
  •  Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales plans for West Bengal, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. 
  •  Drive primary and secondary sales through dealer-distributor networks. 
  •  Identify high-potential markets and implement growth strategies. 
  •  Monitor market share and ensure business expansion across assigned territories. 
  •  Forecast sales demand and coordinate production planning with the manufacturing team. 
2. Channel Development & Dealer Management
  •  Appoint, develop, and manage distributors, dealers, and retailers across the region. 
  •  Strengthen dealer engagement through incentive schemes, loyalty programs, and business reviews. 
  •  Ensure dealer profitability and inventory optimization. 
  •  Conduct regular dealer visits and resolve channel conflicts. 
  •  Expand rural and semi-urban distribution networks to increase market reach. 
3. Team Leadership
  •  Lead, mentor, and develop Area Sales Managers, Territory Sales Managers, and Sales Officers. 
  •  Set KPIs and monitor individual and team performance. 
  •  Conduct monthly sales reviews and market visits with team members. 
  •  Build a high-performance sales culture focused on results and customer service. 
  •  Identify training needs and ensure continuous capability development. 
4. Market Development
  •  Develop new business opportunities in: 
    •  Agriculture & Irrigation 
    •  Borewell Contractors 
    •  Government Water Supply Projects 
    •  Solar Pumping Projects 
    •  Builders & Infrastructure Projects 
    •  Industrial Applications 
  •  Strengthen relationships with consultants, contractors, OEMs, and project customers. 
  •  Identify opportunities in government tenders and institutional sales. 
5. Key Account Management
  •  Manage strategic customers and large distributors. 
  •  Build relationships with government departments, EPC contractors, irrigation departments, and institutional buyers. 
  •  Conduct techno-commercial negotiations and finalize business agreements. 
  •  Ensure customer retention and repeat business generation. 
6. Collections & Credit Control
  •  Monitor receivables and outstanding payments. 
  •  Ensure adherence to company credit policies. 
  •  Work closely with finance teams for collection efficiency. 
  •  Minimize overdue accounts and bad debts. 
7. Market Intelligence
  •  Track competitor activities, pricing, product launches, and channel strategies. 
  •  Analyze market trends and customer requirements. 
  •  Recommend pricing and product positioning strategies. 
  •  Provide periodic market intelligence reports to management. 
8. Reporting & MIS
  •  Prepare monthly sales reports, forecasts, and business reviews. 
  •  Monitor achievement against budget and targets. 
  •  Maintain CRM and sales pipeline records. 
  •  Present regional performance reviews to senior management. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Education and Experience
  • 12–18 years of experience in the sales and marketing of Submersible Pumps and Motors, with a strong track record of driving business growth through dealer-distributor networks. 
  • Minimum 5 years in a regional leadership role. 
  • Strong exposure to East India markets, especially West Bengal, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. 
Skills and Abilities.
Functional Skills
  •  Strong knowledge of Submersible Pumps, Submersible Motors, Domestic Pumps, Mini Pumps, and Monoblock Pumps. 
  •  Expertise in channel sales, dealer-distributor management, and network expansion. 
  •  Proven ability to drive primary and secondary sales growth across assigned territories. 
  •  Experience in market development, territory management, and business planning. 
  •  Strong understanding of agricultural, residential, and water management pump markets.
Leadership & Managerial Skills
  •  Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing and developing regional sales teams. 
  •  Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate teams to achieve business goals. 
  •  Excellent performance management and team-building skills. 
  •  Capability to drive accountability and foster a high-performance culture. 
  •  Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
