Wells Fargo is seeking a Risk Analytics Associate.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in low-risk initiatives within Risk Analytics
- Review process production, and model documentation in alignment with policy, analyzing trends in current population
- Receive direction from manager
- Exercise judgment within Risk Analytics while developing understanding of analytic models, policies, and procedures
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to manager and experienced managers
- 6+ months of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Knowledge and understanding of the key factors impacting credit offerings, including credit risks
- Understanding of risk management practices, knowledge of financial data
- Relevant experience creating artifacts such as procedure documents, flow charts, and control evidence.
- 6+ months of proficient experience in SAS or SQL
- Strong analytics skills and comprehensive understanding of financial services products and risk drivers
- Ability to lead projects and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficient experience in identifying and evaluating data trends, isolating root cause, and providing swift/thorough resolution.
- Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Strong ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional area.
- Contribute as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the Consumer Lending Credit Risk team and execute on deliverables for projects with moderate to high risk for the Credit Risk organization.
- Partners with Finance/Controller, Audit, Control Oversight, Line of Business, Technology, and Testing teams for researching and explaining questions related to data and controls.
- Responsible for production process execution, data reconciliation, and documentation in alignment with governance policies.
- Research and remediate data, production, and control issues in partnership with other SMEs and teams.
- Meet Risk Analytics deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk reporting policies, Credit Risk procedures, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Develop programming models to extract data and/or manipulate databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, and Hive
