Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Based in India, we are hiring a Sales Manager - PRPA (Plastic, Rubber Paint & Coating and ACS). In this role, you will manage our customer base, sales resources, products, and channels to achieve planned results for the dedicated region/market. Expected results include but are not limited to growth in profitable sales and market share,new product & business development and channel management.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To sell Imerys minerals to Polymers, Rubber, Coatings, and Printing inks, but primarily in Polymer & Plastic in India.

  • Technical knowledge of Paint formulations and mineral portfolio such that he is able to provide value added solutions to customers and be helpful in product development initiatives.

  • Generate sales, achieve targets and payment collections within timeline.

  • Manage, retain and grow sales, increase market share with existing customers.

  • Develop and manage customer relationships to drive revenue growth.

  • Identify new markets and business opportunities.

  • Negotiate the terms of contract and close sales deals.

  • Gather market intelligence, competitors' activities and provide feedback on buying/price trends.

  • Forecasting, preparing budget and achieving targets as per budget.

  • Responsible for managing regular order flow as per budget.

  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information and guidance,

  • Extensive visit to existing and potential customers on a regular basis to generate new business.

  • Identifies product improvements by remaining current on industry trends, market activities.

  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information.

  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending workshops, establishing personal networks.

  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Driving sales efforts for attainment of periodical targets & optimizing revenues.

  • Identifying new business opportunities by leveraging the full potential of the company’s product and services portfolio.

  • Identifying customer needs and driving opportunities in agreement with the commercial business strategy and the market in order to increase customer profitability for sustainable and profitable mutual growth.

  • Effectively implementing price increases and maintaining monthly / quarterly price lists to customers.


 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education and Experience requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a Graduate in Science preferably from Polymers background.

  • At least 15 years of industry sales experience in the Plastic domain

 

Knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics:

  • Experience in market intelligence about the Paint industry, its dynamics and players in India.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building attributes.

  • Well organised and able to work with relative autonomy.

  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to succeed in a highly competitive market.

  • Team player - Encourages collaboration and works cohesively with all teams.

  • Willing to extensively travel to cover geography of assigned territory

  • Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
