Position Overview:
The APAC Sales Operations & Supply Chain Specialist is a key role responsible for supporting the sales operations and supply chain management across the Asia-Pacific region. This position will bridge the gap between sales, supply chain, logistics, and internal cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Customer Service) to ensure smooth execution of sales operations management, efficient logistics coordination, and compliance with regional regulations. The role will play a critical part in driving operational efficiency, improving customer satisfaction, and supporting the growth of the company’s product portfolio in the APAC market. The specialist will also be involved in process optimization, data analysis, and cross-regional communication to align APAC operations with global standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Operations Support:

  • Collaborate closely with the APAC sales team and customers to understand customer requirements, resolve order-related issues (e.g., product availability, delivery delays, documentation errors), and provide operational support for sales activities (e.g., documents preparation, order modification, backorder management).
  • Coordinating with headquarter supply chain and logistics teams to ensure product availability, and providing operational support for APAC sales operation activities (e.g., stock allocation, order prioritization).

Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination:

  • Coordinate with global and regional supply chain teams to supply optimized inventory levels in the APAC region, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet sales demand.
  • Oversee the logistics process for shipments in APAC, including coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with regional import/export regulations, customs requirements, and product registration standards in APAC countries to avoid delays or penalties.
  • Manage product documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin) to meet regional requirements and ensure smooth customs clearance. Collaborate with the documentation team to resolve any documentation discrepancies.
  • Handle supply chain disruptions (e.g., production delays, shipping issues, customs hold-ups) by coordinating with relevant teams to develop contingency plans and minimize impact on customer orders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication:

  • Communicate with customers regarding order status, delivery updates, and logistics-related issues, providing timely and professional responses to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in cross-regional meetings (with US headquarters and other regional teams) to share APAC operational updates, and align on global supply chain and sales operations strategies.

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

  • Support the implementation of process improvements, including updating SOPs, and monitoring the effectiveness of changes.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for operational issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, global supply chain standards, and regional regulations (e.g., import/export controls, data privacy laws, product safety regulations) in all sales operations and supply chain activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

1. Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.

2. Work Experience

  • 10 years of relevant work experience in sales operations, supply chain management, or logistics, preferably in the healthcare, diagnostic, or life sciences industry.
