Summary:
Provides primarily pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions. Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations. Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions. May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions. May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client. May provide consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.

Job Summary
The role of Sales Technical Analyst is to provide technical assistance to customers in order to promote sales through effective communication between customer needs, product knowledge and business objectives. This position works closely with both internal and external stallholders to ensure high levels of satisfaction throughout all stages of the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
• Developing & maintaining excellent customer relationships by providing expertise and support to resolve complex technical issues relating to our products
• Assisting Sales Engineers in their demonstrations to potential buyers; communicating with Sales Engineer on any problems encountered
• Organizing logistics for demonstration equipment (loan units, demos) and stock items as required
• Supporting marketing programs with product information and demonstrations at key industry events
• Managing customer expectations regarding delivery dates and back orders
• Actively promoting the Company’s products and image through various channels including email, phone calls, letters, faxes etc.
• Providing detailed feedback to Marketing/Sales Engineering on customer requirements and competitor activity
• Providing feedback to Customer Service Department on order status and customer queries
• Generating leads and working with other departments to follow up on them
• Working with other departments to identify and resolve customer problems
• Reporting to Management on the progress of special projects assigned
Education and Experience Requirement
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of 1-3 years related work experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
